The Nervous System Lab

Reduce stress, feel more in control and find more peace, joy and balance in your body and your life through nervous system regulation

An immersive, experiential 4-session online course for understanding how the state of your Autonomic Nervous System influences your quality of life, improving your relationship with your ANS, and applying this knowledge so you can experience more connection and happiness.

Your behaviour is strongly influenced by your physicality. If you want to change your behaviour, your feelings, your thinking, your overall experience of life, you need to get to know your body and your autonomic nervous system.

I have designed an experiential 4-session course that helps you with exactly that.​

If you want to learn how to better deal with the emotional challenges and frictions of work, relationships, family, neighbours, bureaucracy, traffic, and handle yourself with a bit more grace and ease, this course is for you. In this immersive 4-week online experience, you will understand how your autonomic nervous system works, why it matters for how you feel about life and yourself, and how you can turn your nervous system into an ally.

 

The course is for people of all ages who want to reduce stress, feel more in control, and strengthen the connection with themselves (and potentially others). If you are curious to get to know your system better, willing to explore your own experience, open to engaging with others around this topic and to preparing/practicing before and after sessions, this course is for you!

 

It takes place on four dates in September, in a small group, online on Zoom, as a live event, with (partial) recordings made available afterwards.

What you will learn:

  • How your autonomic nervous system (ANS) shapes your everyday experience

What is required from you:

  • A commitment to being present during the workshop sessions (If you miss a session, you can watch the recordings within 7 days to catch up)

  • A willingness to prepare and practice inbetween sessions according to your abilities and availability

  • Curiosity and a willingness to explore and experiment

  • Taking good care of yourself. This includes the willingness to get extra support outside of sessions when needed. This support can come from friends, family, your therapist, yoga teacher, breathworker, massage therapist, coach or whomever you find helpful.

  • An openness to honour your own experience and that of others; a willingness to engage in a kind and compassionate manner.

  • Agreement to keep confidential what other course participants share.

  • 4 online live sessions of 2 hours 15 minutes, that is 9 hours of condensed knowledge and real experience with your ANS

  • Theoretical input as well as guided exploration of your personal ANS patterns and challenges in each session

  • Experience in Tracing, Mapping and Managing your nervous system states

  • Sharing this journey with a small, compassionate group of fellow explorers

  • Material for preparation such as journaling prompts, reading suggestions, videos to already “marinate” in the topics

  • Take-home exercises to experiment with and deepen your understanding of your ANS and the course content

  • Practical tools to use after the course in your own life

  • Recordings of the sessions, so you can catch up if you missed it

  • A special price on a 5-session package of 2-hour 1:1 sessions, booked within 2 weeks before, during or 2 weeks after the course. (10 % reduction; cannot be combined with other discounts)
